Josh is as an associate at Thomas Gold Pettingill LLP. Josh has a broad insurance practice including defence of first party claims, defence of personal injury claims, and professional liability claims. Josh also represents clients in property, product liability, and subrogation claims. He has appeared before the Small Claims Court, Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and License Appeals Tribunal. Prior to joining Thomas Gold Pettingill, Josh articled with a large national firm in the advocacy department.

Before practicing law, Josh served as a legislative assistant to the former Minister of the Environment, the Hon. Jim Prentice, and Ben Lobb, MP, in Ottawa.

Josh holds a Master’s in Political Science from Queen’s University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), with distinction, in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto. He obtained his Canadian law degree from the University of Windsor, and his American law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy, cum laude. During law school, Josh was a research assistant, copy editor for the Windsor Law Review of Legal and Social Issues, and volunteered at the University of Windsor’s Mediation Services Clinic. Josh remains active in the legal community as a volunteer for Pro Bono Ontario.
