Areas of practice & Experience

Victoria joined Thomas Gold Pettingill in 2018 after practicing at an insurance defence boutique, where she gained experience in civil and commercial litigation. Victoria’s current practice focuses on representing insurers in tort claims, insurance coverage disputes, and statutory accident benefits claims.

Victoria obtained her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. While at law school, she competed in various national mooting competitions and presented arguments before justices of the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. In addition, Victoria advocated for the wrongfully convicted as a caseworker for the Innocence Project.

Reported decisions

  • Farrugia v. Vetere, 2018 ONSC 4934 – Successfully moved to compel the plaintiff to attend an assessment with an occupational therapist, in relation to a personal injury action.
