Areas of Practice & Experience:
Nicole joined the firm in 2011. Her practice focuses on insurance defence litigation, with a particular emphasis on first-party accident benefits claims. Nicole has represented clients before the Ontario Divisional Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and in private arbitrations. She has gained broad experience drafting pleadings, negotiating settlements, and assisting with trial preparation.
Prior to joining the firm, Nicole clerked for Honourable Mr. Justice John O’Keefe at the Federal Court of Canada. For the Court, she assisted with judicial reviews of regulatory administrative tribunal decisions, motions to strike and injunctions. At law school, Nicole volunteered at the University of Toronto’s Downtown Legal Services clinic where she represented refugees at the Immigration and Refugee Board. She also worked as a legal intern at the United Nations.
